I told him to use Finder -> Go-> Connect to Server -> SMB://ServerName/Share but it failed even when he tried to do it with the ip address. It worked fine on a different user on that Mac, so I'm guessing its profile related. Solution-ish: Found it mounted if i used the command Open SMB://server/share in terminal.
